Through trial and error, I created my trading strategy. This is essentially how I approach the market day in day out. It’s how I generate my full time living. There is no secret formula and I haven’t reinvented the wheel here. I simply found people I admired and learned from what they were doing. Being a full-time trader requires you to be prepared both mentally and financially. You must be able to withstand the bad times so you can prosper during the good times. Your first step in trading is preparing financially. But the reason for my doing a full time job is not because I do not earn enough on stock or commodity trading, it is more to do with my style of trading. I have ample time and I trade for approx 15 mins at a time, 3 to 4 times in a day, that’s all. The full time Forex trading – The 2 hour work week. Forex trading doesn’t need to become a 1:1 switch for your day job. It’s actually quite possible to keep doing what you’re doing during the day and maintain trading at the ‘full-time’ level by only giving the markets about 2 hours of your time per week. A part-time trader may commit to trading three days a week, or to closing out at noon instead of at the close of the market. A successful part-time trader still has a business plan, still sets limits, and still acts like any professional trader would, just for a smaller part of the day.
